Mobile Library

Nottinghamshire County Council runs a mobile library service which visits the villages once a month.

Joining and using a mobile library

Joining a mobile library is no different from joining any other library in Nottinghamshire and once you've joined you can use any library in the county or in Nottingham city.

You may request items from a mobile library as you would with a local library. Any items that you request will be available for you to collect from the mobile library on a later visit to your area.

If you miss a mobile library visit and you need to return borrowed items, you can return them to the mobile library on its next visit. Alternatively, you can also return any items borrowed from a mobile library to any local library. You can also renew books and other items, online or over the telephone.

Plumtree Telephone Kiosk Library

plumtree telephone kioskBring a Book, Borrow a Book

The village phonebox on Main Road has been equipped with bookshelves and books.

The principle is simple: if you have any unwanted books that you think other people might like to read, just put them (neatly) on one of the bookshelves. Similarly, if you want to borrow a book, just take it away with you and pass it on to a friend or replace it when you've finished reading it.

Please help to keep the phonebox tidy. If you see books in the phonebox that are damaged or dirty, please dispose of them.
