The Rectors of Plumtree

Thanks to past research by Sid and Rosemary Jordan, there is a comprenensive list of the Rectors of Plumtree starting with Roger de Sylly in 1251 and running through to the current Rector, Revd Trevor Kirkman.

We've put together a timeline listing the Rectors and have added a bit of background information, where possible, about them, their families and major events in the Church while they were holding the position.

Find out more at Rectors of Plumtree.

The Burnsides and Plumtree

It's taken some doing, but we've finally created a page about the history of the Burnside family in Plumtree. This is the family who renovated the church and to whom the Burnside Memorial Hall is dedicated.

Read all about it at The Burnsides, Elliotts and Stanfords.
