A former churchwarden of Plumtree Church amassed a collection of glass negatives of photographs taken in and around Plumtree.  After his death, the collection was passed to the current Rector for safe-keeping.  The Rector has kindly made them available to this website, and they are published below for general interest.

The original photographs seem to have been taken by keen amateurs rather than by professional photographers, as there is no branding associated with their captions.  The negatives have been scanned, changed into 'positives' and are presented here in their current condition, i.e. no attempt has been made to 'clean' them up.

Another view from the south-east. This glass slide is actually broken, which accounts for the line running from the top centre to the right hand edge

These photographs have been added to the Plumtree Village website as, despite their variable quality, they are of interest to the local community and some of them are not available elsewhere.

Unfortunately we haven't had time to research them, other than to add brief descriptions.  If you think you could help by providing more detailed descriptions, putting dates to the images or even to volunteer to 'clean up' the images, please get in touch with us.
